Arrive today in Switzerland, known for its chocolate, cheese, watches and picturesque landscapes. Transfer for your hotel in Lucerne for the evening and enjoy a Welcome drink with the group.

Day 3: 10/19/2027 - Basel

Begin your journey to Basel, Switzerland's vibrant third-largest city. After breakfast, board your elegant AMADEUS vessel and meet your fellow travelers over a Welcome Cocktail and Dinner. Your floating hotel sets sail later this afternoon. (B,D)

Day 4: 10/20/2027 - Strasbourg

Overnight, your ship sails into France's Alsace region, docking in charming Strasbourg. On today's included discovery tour, enjoy a short coach ride through the city followed by a guided walk of the historic old town, with highlights such as the famous Straßburger Münster Cathedral*, half-timbered houses, and medieval Petite France. A scenic boat cruise along the River Ill reveals more treasures, including the Ponts Couverts, Palais de Rohan, and the Council of Europe. (B,L,D)

Day 5: 10/21/2027 - Speyer - Mannheim

Arrive in Speyer, once a city of great influence during the Holy Roman Empire. Explore its Imperial Cathedral and taste the famous Speyer pretzel on an OPTIONAL walking tour. After lunch, cruise to Mannheim, the gateway to Heidelberg. On your included tour, discover this romantic university town with its baroque Old Town and magnificent castle ruins. Visit the red sandstone castle and gardens, take in panoramic views from the Grand Terrace, and stroll past landmarks such as the Karl-Theodor Bridge, the Church of the Holy Spirit, and the town hall before rejoining your ship later that evening. Day 6: 10/22/2027 - Mannheim - Ruedesheim - Koblenz

This morning, explore the charming wine town of Rüdesheim. Ride the Winzerexpress train to the Siegfried Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum for a fascinating look at historical self-playing instruments, then stroll the lively Drosselgasse with its wine houses and garden taverns. Learn how Cologne blends its ancient Roman roots with modern life as you pass the Alter Markt and Heumarkt. Conclude your tour with a taste of the city's signature Koelsch beer, beloved throughout the Rhineland. After lunch, relax on board as your ship sails onward. Wake up in Amsterdam, the lively Dutch capital. Explore its iconic canals on an OPTIONAL boat tour or stroll the city at your leisure. In the afternoon, join an OPTIONAL journey to the Waterland countryside, visiting the quaint villages of Volendam and Edam for a traditional Dutch cheese tasting. After breakfast depart our floating home for the airport or join our 3-night post tour to Amsterdam to explore the capital of the Netherlands even further! (B)
