Day 2: 10/08/2026 - Arrival in Scotland

Make your way to the hotel on your own to meet the tour group. We begin our adventure with a panoramic tour of Edinburgh%u2014where medieval Old Town meets Georgian New Town. Located just steps from the Royal Mile, Edinburgh's main shopping, dining and entertainment thoroughfare, our tour puts you at the heart of Scotland's historic capital. After checking into our hotel, enjoy time to relax before gathering for a Welcome Drink to meet fellow travelers and toast the journey ahead. Tonight, explore Edinburgh's vibrant culinary scene at your leisure. From cozy pubs to elegant bistros, the city offers something for every taste. As your first day draws to a close, take in the charm of this enchanting capital under the glow of its historic streetlights.

Day 3: 10/09/2026 - Scottish Highlands - Inverness

Today, we journey into the heart of the Scottish Highlands%u2014a region rich in dramatic landscapes and timeless legends. Our adventure begins with a visit to the towering Kelpies of Falkirk, two breathtaking 100-foot sculptures honoring Scotland's industrial past and mythical lore. We then marvel at the Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift%u2014an impressive feat of modern engineering and a sight to behold in action. Next, we explore Stirling Castle, a symbol of Scottish pride perched high on volcanic rock, offering sweeping views and a glimpse into centuries of history. Keep an eye out for the Wallace Monument in the distance, standing tall in tribute to Scotland's beloved hero. As the day winds down, we head north through stunning Highland scenery to Inverness%u2014our base for the next three nights and a gateway to Scotland's wild beauty. (B)

Day 4: 10/10/2026 - Inverness - Culloden Battlefield

Today, we explore a defining moment in Scottish history at Culloden Battlefield, site of the final Jacobite clash in 1746. At the visitor centre, an immersive 360° theatre experience brings the dramatic events to life. Then walk the historic grounds, where moving clan memorials%u2014including one for Clan Fraser%u2014honor those who fell. Next, we enjoy lunch amidst the beauty of Rothiemurchus in Cairngorms National Park, before meeting the famous Hairy Coos%u2014Scotland's iconic Highland cattle. A local guide will introduce us to these gentle, shaggy creatures in their natural setting. Later, enjoy a leisurely afternoon back in Inverness to explore, shop, or simply unwind in a charming café. Day 5: 10/11/2026 - Dunrobin Castle

Today we set out for our excursion to the enchanting Dunrobin Castle. With its fairy-tale turrets, manicured seaside gardens, and lavish interiors, this historic residence of the Dukes of Sutherland stands as one of the Highlands' most romantic estates. Enjoy an exploration of its opulent rooms, learn about centuries of noble history, and witness an impressive live falconry display in the gardens. The remainder of your evening is at leisure to stroll the River Ness, browse local shops, or unwind in a cozy Highland café. (B)

Day 6: 10/12/2026 - St. Andrews - Edinburgh

This morning, we set off for the coastal town of St. Andrews%u2014renowned for its medieval charm, historic university, and deep academic roots. Take in the atmospheric ruins of St. Andrews Castle and Cathedral, once vital centers of power and faith. Then, take in sweeping seaside views at St. Andrews Links, the iconic "Home of Golf," where the game has been played for nearly 500 years. After free time to enjoy lunch on your own and browse the local shops, we return to Edinburgh. (B)

Day 7: 10/13/2026 - Edinburgh

Today, we delve into the heart of Edinburgh's rich royal and cultural legacy. We begin at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the British monarch and once home to Mary, Queen of Scots. This baroque treasure offers a captivating look into centuries of royal intrigue and history. We hop over to the other end of the Royal Mile to visit the crown jewel of the city%u2014Edinburgh Castle. Towering above the skyline, this legendary fortress reveals dramatic stories of battles, monarchs, and national pride. Don't miss the panoramic views that stretch across the capital. The afternoon is yours to explore Edinburgh at leisure. From shopping along the Royal Mile to savoring a cozy pub or café, you'll find charm and history around every corner. (B)

Day 8: 10/14/2026 - Edinburgh (Day at Leisure)

Today is yours to experience Edinburgh however you choose. Whether it's relaxing in a cozy café, browsing shops along the Royal Mile, or uncovering more of the city's hidden gems, the day is yours to savor. For those looking to venture further, join our OPTIONAL tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia%u2014once the Queen's floating residence. Step aboard to explore its regal staterooms and get a glimpse into royal life at sea. This evening, we gather for a special Farewell Dinner. A Scottish Piper will meet us at the hotel, leading us through the historic streets to our final meal together. It's a perfect ending%u2014filled with tradition, laughter, and heartfelt toasts to our unforgettable journey through Scotland. %u0009(B, D)

Day 9: 10/15/2026 - Scotland - USA

Our Scotland trip comes to an end. Transfers to the airport can be arranged for a fee depending on final flight times, or you can schedule your own way to the airport for flight home. For those participating in the Belfast post-tour, we'll enjoy a scenic drive to Cairnryan where will take a 2 ½ hour ferry ride to Belfast. This evening is yours to explore the city.
